Fifth International Yoga day celebrations

5th International Yoga day 2019 was celebrated by Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy NSS unit on 21st June, 2019 in campus premises. All the students and staff actively participated with enthusiasm. The purpose of celebrating International yoga day was to bring awareness among the student community  about the importance of yoga in everyone’s daily life. Yoga helps to maintain harmony between mind, body, thought and action which helps in balancing the humans and nature. It is very essential to overcome all kinds of sufferings in every walk of life.

The Principal of Sree Vidyanikethan College of Pharmacy Dr. Anna Balaji welcomed the chief guest of the day Sri. Vasudevaiahgaru, yoga master from Narsingapuram. The yoga master addressed the students and staff about yoga and its health benefits. He also taught simple Asanas which helps them to overcome stress and improves general health in their day to day life.

Dr. K. Saravanakumar, NSS programme officer motivated the students to actively participate in the yoga. Mr. B. Ravi Sekhar, Director (Finance and Administration), Dr. S. Mohana Lakshmi, Vice-Principal and other faculty members joined along with the students in the practice of yogasanas.

The chief guest Sri. Vasudevaiahgaru was felicitated by the Principal Dr. Anna Balaji and staff of SVCP. The program concluded by vote of thanks by Ms. M.S. Divya Sree, Assistant Professor, SVCP.
